Common questions

Property-owner FAQs.

Who can list student accommodation on ResMate?

Landlords, student residence owners and authorised property managers can create a property-owner account. Property and ownership information may be reviewed before a listing is shown as verified.

Can I manage more than one student property?

Yes. ResMate is designed to keep multiple residences, room types, applications, tenants and property tasks together in one owner workspace.

Does my property have to accept NSFAS students?

No. ResMate supports student accommodation for self-funded, bursary-funded and NSFAS-funded students. If you claim NSFAS accreditation, the exact property status must be current and verifiable.

Can students apply online?

Yes. Students can discover suitable listings and submit an online application, while property owners can review and manage application progress from their dashboard.

How do I start listing a residence?

Create a property-owner account, complete your profile and add the property details, rooms, pricing, location, images and relevant verification information.
