Rooms and rental options in Hatfield
Hatfield offers purpose-built residences, apartments and rooms in shared properties. Compare the room you will occupy rather than a show unit. A private bedroom may still share a bathroom or kitchen, so confirm the full layout and number of occupants.
Getting to your campus
For UP, check the entrance and faculty buildings you use most. Hatfield station or a nearby shuttle stop may help with other destinations, but check fares and the last service. Students at another Pretoria campus should measure that journey separately.
What to ask at a viewing
- Ask which UP gate is closest to the property.
- Check traffic and social noise from the actual room.
- Confirm parking, visitor rules and shared-facility occupancy.
- Compare utility caps and the full academic-year lease cost.
Budget and funding
Compare the full monthly cost and the cash required before move-in. For funding-dependent housing, verify the exact property and your own eligibility through your institution or official funder. An area guide does not establish accreditation or room availability.
