Rooms and rental options in Pretoria Central
Central Pretoria includes converted buildings and apartments with varied room layouts. Ask whether the price is per bed or per room, how many residents share facilities, and who handles cleaning and repairs. Inspect the actual floor and room before committing.
Getting to your campus
Check the teaching address for TUT, UNISA or your college. A central transport connection can be useful, but the final walk and evening return are part of the commute. Ask whether lifts and access systems work during power interruptions.
What to ask at a viewing
- Confirm the exact building entrance and room number.
- Check lifts, emergency exits and access arrangements at a viewing.
- Ask how many people share each bathroom and kitchen.
- Test the route from the transport stop to the building.
Budget and funding
Compare the full monthly cost and the cash required before move-in. For funding-dependent housing, verify the exact property and your own eligibility through your institution or official funder. An area guide does not establish accreditation or room availability.
